Issue 8

Stories, reviews and rants!  As usual, enough to keep you entertained and happy for hours.  I'm bust converting texts to HTML and will sstart uploading them in a couple of days.  There's always more to do than I thought, and it always takes longer.

We'll keep you posted.

Issue Seven Up!

As always, the readers of this blog get advance notice that the latest issue of Wilde Oats is uploaded.

Eight new stories; the conclusion of a the serial Clockworld, and the start of a new serial; rants and reviews; and an interview with the celebrated Tanya Huff.

You can read it here.

Enjoy!  (And let us know, on this blog, if you find any errors!)

Tanya Huff

We have an interview with the celebrated Tanya Huff in the upcoming issue.  For those who don't know, she is the author of a range of books from the SF, fantasy and horror genres, and is consistently gay-friendly in all her work.

We will have a new review of one of her novels too.

All the HTML conversion and uploading of the latest issue is done -- now we're just checking links and for typos, so you should be able to see it very soon!

Issue Seven underway

We have some truly excellent fiction for you for the next issue of Wilde Oats.   We're busy uploading the fiction and putting together the zine right now.

We'll keep you informed.  The next issue is scheduled to be released in early April.

Wilde Oats non-fiction pieces

Though Wilde Oats was primarily intended as a e-zine where you can read (or submit!) great m2m/gay/slash fiction, we have from the beginning also had opinion pieces, interviews, book and film reviews and news about upcoming books and films.

You can read our non-fiction pieces here.

There's an interesting interview with Dorien Grey, the renowned author of several gay PI serials.

Gay-shaded Artists

We call them 'gay-shaded' rather than  'gay' because they include not just gay and bisexual men but also straight women.

Here's a painting from one of the artists we discuss, Michael Breyette:

You can read the article and see the other great artists here.

Issue Six is Live!

Members of the Wilde Oats update group, and those who read this blog, get early notice of new issues.

Issue six has been uploaded.  The theme for this issue is historical.  Seven stories, a chapter from Nan Hawthorne's "An Involuntary King", a new serial and reviews of books and films.

You can read it here.
